My Content tab not appearing in top link bar of My sites

I've got a new SP2010 deployment and I've just been looking at the Mysites - and I notice that the My content tab is missing - there's no doc libs either in the content tab in the my profile page

This is what it looks like:

The reason is that the "My Content" link is part of the "Create Personal Site".
You can enable this by going to Central Administration -> Application Management -> Manage Service Application -> Select your User Profile Service Application -> clickManage User Permissions -> check if the account has "Create Personal Site" permissions.
By default, all authenticated users have this right

Error - A required timer job for a User Profile Application or User Profile Application Proxy is missing

I started seeing this in Health Analyzer
This is a bug that doesn't seem to affect UPA in any way. The intent from MS was to add a new timer job to the UPA in the August 2011 CU (this farm is built to the Aug CU patch level). MS got it in there, got the health check for it, then for some reason pulled the timer job from the CU, but didn't pull the health check
This issue is now fixed and this fix is rolled into Dec 2011 CU.
