Configure PeoplePicker to search within only an AD group


A way of configuring PeoplePicker to search within only an AD group using peoplepicker-searchadcustomfilter

e.g.

group TG1 in Mosslab.com domain for the JR4 site collection

stsadm -o setproperty -pn peoplepicker-searchadcustomfilter -pv "(memberOf=CN=TG1,OU
=SPUsers,DC=Mosslab,DC=Com)" -url http://wbicd9506:81/sites/JR4

Note - Users can still add a number of groups from the Builtin OU, e.g. NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users; BUILTIN\users; BUILTIN\administrators; BUILTIN\guests; BUILTIN\performance log users; BUILTIN\backup operators
